Earlier this week, AQHA announced the qualifying protocol for the new Novice Championship Shows. The Western and Eastern events will both be held October? 5-7, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mufreesboro, Tennessee.

You can qualify either through your state affiliate or via national invitation, and you can choose to show at either the Western or Eastern show, no matter where you live. To get the details, see this press release from AQHA.

That said, we have a few questions for you novice competitors out there: Will you attempt to qualify (if you haven’t already) for the 2012 AQHA Novice Championship Shows? What do you think about designating championship events for novice competitors? Are you interested in reading about these events in the magazine/on our Web site?

Thanks in advance for your input.
