Another “We’d Love to Own” Win

In our July installment of “We’d Love to Own,” trainer Russell Dilday said that featured cow horse, Topsails Rien Maker, was headed back into the show pen at big-title events after winning his third World’s Greatest Horseman title earlier this year. This weekend, the 12-year-old stallion stole the show at the World’s Richest Stock Horse event in Paso Robles, California, with a repeat win after taking the title in 2008. “Slider” is the all-time leading cow horse earner, with $320,000 in the earnings bank.

A 655.5 composite score (217 herd work, 217.5 reined work, 221 cow work) added $10,000 to the horse’s lifetime earnings. History seems to repeat itself with this horse, so we’re pretty sure we’ll see him in the winner’s circle once again.
