In the February 2011 issue, we featured Appaloosa gelding Shys Blue Boy as the “We’d Love to Own” horse.

We reported that “Blue” was a jack-of-all-trades?competing in everything from hunter-in-hand to Western pleasure to keyhole racing.

He really proved his versatility this year at the Appaloosa World Show.

Blue’s wins include open senior Western riding, open senior hunter under saddle, open saddle seat pleasure, non-pro trail, and open senior trail. The gray gelding also placed sixth in senior Western pleasure and fourth in hunter in hand, geldings four and older.

Congratulations to Blue and owner Abby Bruno of Moreno Valley, California!

Blue’s shown us once again why we’d really love to own him.
