About the cover: The instant I saw this Gail Bates photo--it's of amateur exhibitor Connie Robertson of Nevada and her Paint gelding Real Me In--I just had to have it for the January 2010 cover. ?I wanted to jump right into the picture! It's a departure from any of our 1990s and 2000s covers--which to me, only added to its refreshment-factor.
OK, your turn to comment....
Meanwhile, it's a week of magazine harmonic convergence--or something. Today, with the January 2010 issue hot in our hands, we send the February 2010 issue to the printer, and also begin production on the March 2010 issue. ?Wow--that's the first quarter of 2010 right there.
New decade? Better get ready for it, because at H&R, we're already on it!
