To Do This Month: Grazing, Insects, and Maintenance

• Provide gradual pasture access (one hour per day, increased by 30 minutes each day); supplement fiber intake with good quality grass hay.

• Maintain aggressive insect-control measures with fly parasites, traps, or sprays; inventory/replace fly masks and sheets.

• Inventory and replenish equine first-aid kits in your barn and trailer.

• Continue deworming and shoeing schedule; record fecal egg counts if applicable.
