Clean Your Work Pad

Summertime means lots of riding, which also means lots of sweat and dirt on your everyday saddle pads. To keep them clean, take them to a self-serve car wash, hang them where you’d hang your vehicle’s floormats, and spray your work pads clean. Heave them into the bed of your truck (they’ll probably be heavy) to dry in the sun on the way home.

Note: Most folks stay away from using soap to clean pads—if it’s not completely rinsed away, it can lead to skin irritation. Use plain water or a rinse formulated for saddle pads to ensure that they rinse clean.
