Although the Farnam AQHA World Show is still a few months out, some big news has recently hit the scene. The AQHA Executive Committee has approved some significant changes for the upcoming 2023 show. One of these changes will make for some pretty happy competitors.
At a 2022 Town Hall gathering, competitors advocated for higher payouts in classes at the World Show. AQHA took this into consideration, and recently announced their decision. The committee has decided to add an additional whopping amount of $600,000 in payouts, prizes and exhibitor appreciation. This represents a 20% increase from previous years. This payout increase will only make this prestigious event even more attractive to competitors, and exhibitors can rest easy that AQHA not only listened to their input – but delivered in a big way.
The Farnam AQHA World Show will begin October 26, running through November 16 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
From the AQHA website: “The AQHA World, Adequan® Select World and Adequan® Level 2 Championships are the premier events in the equine industry for amateur, Select amateur and open exhibitors. The show includes Level 3 and Adequan® Level 2 classes. The shows feature exciting competition, educational opportunities and a bountiful trade show.
