Exhibitors have the option to enter individual classes. Or test their skills in all three events for a chance to win an additional $10,000 payout. The top 10 exhibitors in each class will receive a payout, and each class winner will receive a Continental Saddlery trophy saddle.
“It was always my goal to make the Ranch Horse Triple Crown Challenge into the single-greatest ranch event in the country,” said creator Daniel Patton. “The team at APHA is one of the best assembled—they’re forward-thinking and constantly working to give back to exhibitors as much as possible. Having this event at the APHA World is simply going to be spectacular.”

Event History

At the APHA World Championship Show, the open ranch riding sweepstakes has grown 44% in the last 5 years. The growth in entries warranted splitting the class into two divisions, junior and senior, plus the addition of an all-age solid Paint-Bred world championship. Overall, the growth of the ranch classes at the APHA World Championship Show was a major incentive for hosting the Ranch Horse Triple Crown Challenge.
