Ranch sorting action heads to Houston, March 8-10, during the Houston Stock Show & Rodeo

Ranch sorting is heading back to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, bringing $25,000 in added cash to the NRG Arena. Competition kicks off Sunday, March 8, and continues through Tuesday, March 10, culminating in a full day of championship rounds.

The three-day event offers a complete lineup of classes for every level of competitor, along with high-stakes Gold Shootout classes that promise fast runs and big moments under the lights.

What: A three-day Cinch RSNC Ranch Sorting event at the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas, from March 8-10, 2026 paying out $25,000 in added cash and prizes. The event takes place during the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and provides a range of classes of all levels of riders and also features opportunities for ranch sorters to participate in the elite Gold Shootout classes, with the festivities concluding in high-stakes championship rounds on Tuesday.

Each contestant will receive two parking passes and four exhibitor badges, handed out onsite.

Stalls, Shaving & RV Hookup

  • Sold Out: Stall reservations are closed.
    • All horses competing must have a stall. No haul ins are allowed

Paperwork

Current Coggins and Health Papers required for all out-of-state riders.
