What Is the AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championship?

The AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships is the true test of the all-around American Quarter Horse. Competitors demonstrate their horses’ abilities across multiple disciplines: ranch riding, ranch trail, reining, cow work and conformation, putting the full scope of a working ranch horse’s talents on display.

The VRH World Show combines three premier ranch horse events under one roof: the AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals and the AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships.

Last year, the event drew more than 340 exhibitors and 380 horses, generating over $475,000 in total purse and more than $2 million in economic impact to the Amarillo area.

The flagship event of the week. VRH horses are judged across multiple classes that test ranch horse skills, including ranch riding, ranch trail, reining, working cow horse and conformation.

With $100,000 in added money, the Cattle Level 1 Championships is open to any Level 1-eligible exhibitor.
