The NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular returns to Fort Worth for nearly a month of cutting horse action—running July 10 through August 2—and with a full slate of derby and classic challenge classes, the event is set to be another shining jewel of the NCHA triple crown.
NCHA Summer Spectacular Schedule
The Summer Spectacular runs 20-plus days, structured the way the other Triple Crown events (Futurity, Super Stakes) typically run: open aged-event classes kick things off, with first and second go-rounds for the 4-year-old Derby and 5/6-year-old Classic Challenge divisions, followed by semifinals and finals.
From there, the schedule moves into limited-open, international, amateur, and non-pro divisions across those same age groups, with youth and novice classes woven in throughout.

This year brings a notable change: NCHA has switched streaming platforms, moving from Cutting Horse Central to Video West Live Scoring, starting with the Summer Spectacular.
The new platform is still completely free for members and fans, and you’ll access it the same way as before, through the NCHA Live link on the NCHA homepage, the event page, and NCHA’s social channels.
