On February 8, a 4-year-old Paint gelding in Cooke County, Texas, was confirmed positive for equine rhinitis virus B (ERBV). The horse developed clinical signs on February 5, including fever, lethargy, nasal discharge, cough, and difficulty swallowing. He is now under voluntary quarantine, and three additional cases are suspected.
