In the National Stock Horse Association Vegas Show Open Derby, Jordan Williams and Hott And Juicy (Hottish x Smart Kitty Rey RG), a 2020 stallion owned by Bonds Ranch, set the pace early. First out in the final fence work, the pair turned in a commanding run that held through the rest of the draw, securing the win and $26,000.
Williams entered the fence work on top with a 439.5 after the rein and herd work, narrowly ahead of Boyd Rice and Halreycious Rebel (Metallic Rebel x CR A Little Peek), who carried a 439 for owner Robert Grieve. The Rhome, Texas, trainer then sealed the deal with another strong performance.
The win adds to Williams’ breakout season. He earned his first NRCHA premier event title earlier this year at the 2025 Kimes Ranch Derby, where he topped both the Open and Intermediate Open Derby on Tazzy Es Savvy (CR Gotcha Covered x Mizz Savannas Taz), also owned by Bonds Ranch.
Williams and Hott And Juicy doubled up in Vegas as well, taking home the Intermediate Open Derby championship and $6,710.80. With the weekend’s wins, the stallion’s lifetime earnings have now surpassed $86,000.
