$100K Shootout Sends 5 Riders to 2026 Run For A Million

The $100K Shootout at The Run For A Million is more than just a high-stakes paycheck—it’s a proving ground where riders battle for one of the coveted qualifying spots in next year’s million-dollar event. The 2025 edition delivered on every front, with a packed house in Las Vegas and a field stacked with former TRFAM champions, NRHA Futurity and Derby winners, and international contenders.

Andrea Fappani topped the leaderboard with a 234 aboard 007 (Gunner Dun it Again x Solidly Spirited). Fappani, who has only been riding ‘Bond’ for a short amount of time, instantly connected with him in the show pen, deliver a show-stopping performance that left him at the top of the leaderboard. Joining him in securing a ticket were Kole Price on Scottie Doesn’t Know (Spooks Gotta Whiz x Chicsdreamofdiamonds) with a 228.5, Casey Deary on Custom Dreams (Magnum Chic Dream x Gunna Be Custom) with a 228, and Jason Vanlandingham on Plus Me I’m Shiny (Colonels Shining Gun x Plus One Chex) who also marked a 228.

The fifth and final qualifying position came down to a nail-biting runoff between Gina-Maria Schumacher and Josh Tishman after both posted 225.5 in regulation. Schumacher prevailed aboard Gunnastepya (Gunnatrashya x SDP A Lasting Step), guaranteeing her place in the 2026 TRFAM main event. A multi-time TRFAM competitor and one of the few non-pros to qualify, she once again proved she can hold her own against the sport’s best.
