About Boyd Rice

Boyd Rice is a cutting and reined cow horse trainer, as well as a proven all-around horseman and cowboy. With a background in colt starting, he has established a successful show career, amassing earnings in excess of $4 million in the Western performance horse industry. A perennial finalist at NCHA and National Reined Cow Horse Association major events, Rice’s list of achievements is robust. His list of major wins include being named both the MillionHeir Cutting Open Champion and NCHA Open World Champion in 2005. In addition, Rice and his horse Oh Cay N Short are the first duo to ever win the Snaffle Bit Futurity and the World’s Greatest Horseman title.
