Cutting horse trainer Cara Brewer explains the difference between pressing on your horse and kicking him. She then talks about how it’s important to have your horse constantly thinking about stopping, no matter what cues you’re using. She demonstrates all of this, and talks through it as she goes.

About Cara Brewer

Cara Brewer’s career as a professional horse trainer was jumpstarted by winning the NCHA Super Stakes aboard Playin Tag (Playgun x Peppys Rey Jay) in 2004. Since then, Brewer has made her mark on the cutting industry, with lifetime earnings in excess of $1,654,042 and a seat in the NCHA Hall of Fame. Together with her husband, she owns and operates a training facility along with a ranching operation in Jay, Oklahoma. Brewer specializes in training, lessons, and sales for all levels of horses and caters to all types of amateurs and non pros.
