Brad goes over the importance of teaching your horse how to leave the roping box from different spots within it. This is a skill you can start training without cattle, however, once cattle are introduced, you should continue practicing this drill to ensure your horse is listening to your cues regardless of where you are. . To begin practicing this exercise, Brad suggests working your horse in the back and front of the box, next to, and farther away from the chute so your horse gets comfortable in all areas of the box.
