Leaving the roping box on the correct lead, with the correct frame, at the right rate is ideal. Brad recommends teaching your horse to go all the way to the back corner of the box. That way your horse doesn’t go backward when you need him to go forward. Practice bringing your horse to the back of the box, getting him in the corner, then encouraging him to go forward when you release him so it becomes routine.
