Feeding the Neglected Horse

If you find yourself caring for a horse that’s been neglected and is in a starved condition, be mindful that feeding too much, too soon can hurt and even kill him. Researchers at U.C. Davis recommend a gradual phase-in of feeding, using alfalfa or alfalfa-mix hay.
