The NRHA Level 4 Non Pro Futurity Finals take place tomorrow evening at the OKC Fairgrounds, with 31 finalists set to compete on some of the top 3-year-olds in the country beginning at 4 p.m. CT. Riders from the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Austria, and Germany will be represented.

How the Finalist Group Breaks Down by Rider and Sire

The Level 4 NRHA Futurity Non-Pro Finals bring together a concentrated group of proven sire lines and repeat finalists. Spooks Gotta Whiz leads all sires represented, with five offspring advancing to the Level 4 finals, followed by three each from Americasnexttopgun, Snip O Lution, and Gunners Special Nite.

On the rider side, three competitors return with multiple horses: Gina-Maria Schumacher qualified on three horses all by Schumacher’s stallion Snip O Lution, while Mandy McCutcheon, and Jacob Zimmerman each come back to the finals with two.

Great Genes at Work

Tight Genes, shown by multiple NRHA Futurity champion Tish Fappani, carries a meaningful connection into this finals field. She is out of Joes Genes—the mare Tish rode to the Level 3 Non-Pro Futurity Championship in 2020, tied for reserve in the Level 4, and later came back to win major derby titles. The pair has already put a strong mark on this season, earning co-champion honors in the 2025 Invitational Non-Pro Level 4 Futurity.

Joes Genes’ impact is also showing up in the open division. Man Of The Year, another of her offspring, won the 2025 100X Tulsa Reining Classic Invitational Futurity earlier this year with Tish’s husband, NRHA $9 Million Dollar Rider Andrea Fappani, in the saddle.
