Riders Secure Their Spots for the 2025 The Run For A Million at The Cactus Classic Qualifier

The road to the 2025 The Run For A Million is officially underway, and this weekend’s qualifier at the Cactus Reining Classic in Scottsdale, Arizona, saw top reiners secure their places in the highly anticipated million-dollar reining event.

High-Stakes Competition at The Cactus Classic

With elite competitors vying for limited qualifying spots, the atmosphere at the Cactus Classic was electric as horse-and-rider teams laid down high-scoring runs in hopes of punching their ticket to The Run For A Million. The main event, which takes place Aug. 16 and highlights the best in reining competition, will once again be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, where 16 qualified riders will battle for their share of one million dollars.

  • Dany Tremblay aboard All Guns On Crush – 226.50
  • Luca Fappani aboard Gunna Chic Dream – 226.50
  • Arno Honstetter aboard Ss Whatcha Gun Doo – 226.50
  • Marco Ricotta aboard Savage Love – 225.00
  • Casey Hinton aboard Magnums Custom Dream – 225.00
  • Nathan Piper aboard Shes Got Magnitude – 224.50
  • Matt Mills aboard Wallas First Gun – 224.50
  • Matt McAuslan aboard Ss Tricky Step – 224.50

Additionally, the following riders had already secured their spots for the 2025 The Run For A Million after qualifying at the $100,000-Added Shootout at The Run For A Million in 2024:

European riders had one opportunity to qualify through the 2024 Equita Lyon Qualifier held in Lyon, France. Arnaud Girinon secured his spot as the top rider in that highly competitive event.
