Seabrook Island, South Carolina, near Charleston, is a destination and residential community that offers visitors a variety of rental and vacation properties to choose from.

Seabrook Island’s full-service equestrian center, situated on 22 acres, features a 42-stall barn, spacious pastures, and miles of trails, including miles of superb beach riding. An experienced staff ensures a world-class experience not only for equine residents, but also for their owners and guests.

Equine facilities are available for short-term or long-term boarding for both residents and nonresidents.

Seabrook Island lays claim to one of the most dynamic stretches of beach shoreline in the coastal Carolinas. In recognition of its exceptional beach-restoration initiatives, Seabrook received the 2016 Best Restored Beach Award by the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association.

Rides & Rates

* Advanced Beach Ride: This ride, for advance riders only, tours the North Beach area. Riders must have at least three years of riding experience, and have good control at the walk, trot, and canter. Advance reservations are required. $150 per rider.

* Walking Beach Ride: Designed for the beginner rider, this ride tours the North Beach area. Advance reservations are required. $150 per rider.

* Beginner Trail Ride: This walking ride meanders through Seabrook Island’s scenic woods, marshes, and tidal creeks. The ride lasts approximately one hour with brief pre-ride pointers. Riders must be at least 8 years old. Advance reservations are required. $70 per rider.

Seabrook Island Wildlife

The Seabrook Island community is dedicated to protecting and preserving the island’s natural resources for generations to come. An Audubon International Green Community, Seabrook Island is home to more than 30 types of reptiles (including alligators, tree frogs, chameleons and turtles), as well as 80 species of birds (including federally threatened and endangered birds, such as the bald eagle.) Seabrook Island is also home to a variety of mammals such as raccoons, gray squirrels, marsh rabbits, red fox, otters, and white-tailed deer.
