This event is an agricultural nonprofit whose mission is to be the nation’s leader in food, and agricultural events and engagement. The fall show season kicks off with The Royal Showcase, an all-breed show open to all ages. A must-attend equine event for those traveling in is the National Cutting Horse Assocation show held in late August. Following that event are the Arabian show and the Quarter Horse show the following weekends. The fall show season wraps up with the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show. Making History
The American Royal is a Kansas City tradition that started in 1899 and is celebrating 125 years this season. The event started as the National Hereford Show, but in 1905, the first official American Royal Horse Show was hosted and has expanded ever since.
