Tape Your Buckets

During this time we’re taking extraprecautions and self quarantining to keep others in our community healthy. We want to offer daily tips that’ll help you pass the time during your self quarantine and even give you a jump start to your spring cleaning.

As you get ready to clean all your buckets, make sure that the tape around the bucket’s metal hooks are still protecting your horse from ripping out his mane or tail. Dana Wetherell

Once you’vecleanedout your horse’s feed and water buckets, take time to tape up the sides (metal hooks) of your bucket with electrical tape so your horse can’t rub out his mane and tail—or even worse scrape up his face. 

If you already tape the sides of your buckets, closely examine each bucket (even the ones sitting in your horse trailer) to make sure they’re still doing their job.
