Have you crossed these summertime chores off your to-do list?

Devise sun protection. Apply sunscreen to white-faced horses, and provide a source of shade for all.

Banish bugs. Use repellents, traps, fly masks, or other means of protecting your horses from summer insects.

Mow pasture weeds. Get after them now, before they go to seed and drop millions of weed seeds for next year.
