Remember, these ladies received this many “Likes” in just 2 days of the contest, and it runs until noon Dec. 20! Here are some tips for getting more “Likes” on your photo:

  • “Cross-link” to Horse & Rider Magazine on Facebook in your status by typing @Horse & Rider Magazine into your status bar, telling your friends to vote on your photo. Attach the direct link to your photo to that status, so friends can be sure to find you!
  • Tag as many friends as you can in your photo. That way, they’ll have a tougher time ignoring your request to “Like” it!
  • Remind your friends that they must first “Like” Horse & Rider Magazine on Facebook before they can “Like” your photo.
  • Repost the link to your photo (but not the photo itself) on Horse & Rider Magazine’s Facebook wall daily. That way, it doesn’t get lost in the hundreds of photos and more of the page’s visitors will see it.
  • If you use Twitter, alert your followers to the contest, and post the link to your photo there.
  • If you’re a blogger, post your photo on your site and send your friends to our Facebook page so they can vote for you, too.
  • The more you tell people about the contest, the more votes you’ll get!
